Pastor Shelly Harmon

Rev. Shelly Harmon, born in Marianna, Arkansas on September 21. He was educated at Brickeys Elementary and Anna Strong High School, from which he received his high school diploma.

Rev. Harmon moved to Chicago, Illinois in June, 1966, where he furthered his education by attending the Moody Bible Institute and Chicago Baptist Institute.

Rev. Harmon married Barbie McKennie in August 1997. They are the proud parents of Nickolas Harmon.

Rev. Harmon served faithfully as an Associate Minister at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Johnny L. Miller.  He accepted his call to the gospel in February, 1992.

Rev. Harmon was ordained a Minister of the Gospel in February, 1995 the same month and year he became the Pastor of the Miracle Center Church.

Rev. Harmon led the Miracle Center Church from a storefront located on the south side of Chicago with 14 members to our present edifice at 5634 W. Chicago were we have more than 100 active members.

Rev. Harmon has a true love for God’s people. He has instituted programs to help the less fortunate (van ministry, food pantry, clothes closet and bathing facilities). Rev. Harmon is in the process of remodeling our church Annex to house a multipurpose facility that will be used to help our community (reading program, banquet hall and Children’s Church).

Rev. Harmon believes in Christian Education for all ages. He believes in teaching the Bible and living the Bible. Miracle Center is a teaching church with a loving Pastor.
